Toddlers to Grade RR
Two year old to Grade RR follow the Step-by-Step Early Childhood Development Curriculum. The learners complete a diagnostic test in order to determine their placement. Class activities centre on milestone development for 2 to 5 year olds. Age appropriate academic concepts are taught as a foundation for the next development level. This formal “learn through play” programme is structured around the needs of early learning, whilst laying a sound foundation for the Grade R programme.
Grade R Curriculum
Grade R learners follow the “Preschool with Ace and Christi” curriculum. Learners around 5 turning 6 are invited to do a diagnostic test for the Grade R class which focuses on enhancing learners’ numeracy and literacy skills and social competence in preparation for school. This international programme with local relevance ensures that all development milestones are reached to ensure that learners are ready to learn to read and to have a flying start into the formal schooling development.
